Ranges in size from ¼” to 5/8”. They are dark grey in color, have seven pairs of legs, and appear to be covered with segmented armor. To protect themselves they can roll up in to a ball.

The lady bug is approx. 1/16” to ¼” in length. Their body is round, and brightly colored. Red, brown, tan with black spots, are black with red spots.
They are shaped like a shield approx. ½”. If squashed they have a foul odor, thus getting their name. Their color ranges from all greens to a brown.
