House flies are 1/8” to ¼” in length. They are dark grey with dark stripes on the back of their thorax. Their have large eyes that are red-brown in color that are surrounded by a light gold stripe. They have two short antennae between their eyes.

The blow fly ranges is size from ¼” to ½” in. They are identified by their color which varies from metallic blue, green, or yellow-brown. They have one pair of wings and sponging mouth parts.
