Skunk

The skunk is from the weasel family. They are a silky black and white in color. With a white stripe that runs down their tails. Skunks are about the size of cats 13 to 18 inches in length. Their tail is approx. 10 inches long. They have short legs and move and feed mainly at night. They are most know for their protective smell/musk that they put off when protecting itself. The skunk feeds on insects and grubs like the armadillo. They cause damage to flower beds and yards. They are a carrier of rabies. They need to kept away from pets.
