The Bryan/College Station area is heavily infested with Subterranean Termites. Due to the investment of building a new home or remodeling an existing home, it’s important to protect that investment with one of RP Lee Termite & Pest Controls Pre-Treatment Programs.
Soil Pre-Treatments for Subterranean Termites are the oldest of the protection programs. The soil pre-treatment is a two step program. The first step is to spray all the soil that will be under the slab of the home. The second step is to dig a trench around the perimeter of the home and treat after the home is finished and landscaped. This treatment uses more chemical and depending on the chemical used can be expensive. Sun light, rainfall, sprinkler systems, and landscaping are things that can break down the soil treatments performed around the perimeter of the home. Wood Treatments for Subterranean Termites can have a longer residual than the soil treatments. When the home is completely dried in, before insulation, all the exposed wood in the home is sprayed with a wood preservative, two foot up from the slab, which protects against Subterranean Termites, wood rot, and mildew. This treatment uses less chemical, requires only one trip, and is not effected by sun, moisture, or landscaping. Contact RP Lee Termite & Pest Control for information on pricing and warranties.
